Cenote + Cozumel Diving Packages

Cenotes are natural sinkholes resulting from the collapse of the limestone bedrock, characteristic of the Yucatan Peninsula. Crystal clear freshwater runs gently through the cenotes which are filled with amazing underwater structures, including stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and fossils. The play of light filtering from above and the halocline, which is the blurry water where fresh and saltwater meet, create a unique experience for all divers.

Your cenote trip starts with the 7 am ferry from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen. It doesn't matter which ferry line you book with. In Playa del Carmen you will be met by a representative of our partner dive op by the Sr. Frogs restaurant at the base of the ferry pier. You'll take a short van ride to the dive center where you will gear up with wetsuits and all needed dive equipment for Cenote Diving. Then you are just a short drive away, from these amazing dive sites, located in the rich, mysterious jungles.

After your dive briefing from the dive guide, you'll gear up and venture into the cenote. To maximize safety and fun, you will enjoy two separate dives in two different areas in small groups of around four divers. There will be a 30-minute break in between dives, for a sandwich and refreshments.

After your two cenote dives, you will be transported back to Playa del Carmen to catch the 4 pm ferry to Cozumel. You will return to downtown Cozumel by 5 pm.

Excluding Christmas and New Year's Day

Required: Open Water certification (or equivalent)

Recommended: At least 20 open water dives

Recommended: Good bouyancy control

• Two cenote dives in two different locations
• Tanks, weights, rental equipment, including wetsuits and dive lights for the cenote dives 
• Entrance fees to cenotes
• Dive guide, with a maximum ratio of 4:1 divers to guide
• Roundtrip ground transportation from the Playa del Carmen ferry pier to the cenotes
• Sandwiches and water provided between or after dives 

• Ferry tickets to/from Playa del Carmen (approximately $20 each way USD) 

• Marine park fee - $120 MXN / $7 USD /day 
• Potential dock access fee (depending on hotel, check with us) 
• Wetsuits (3 mm shorty) $200 MXN / $10 USD per day 
• Wrist dive computers (air/Nitrox): $200 MXN / $10 USD per day 
• Nitrox (80 cf) $200 MXN  / $12 USD /tank
• Nitrox (100cf) $300 MXN / $18 USD /tank
• Large tanks (100 cf) - $100 MXN / $5 USD /tank

• Certification Card

Cancellation must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled dive trip. Otherwise you will be charged the full fee for that day.
